Young Enterprise

The Programme

Experience the real world of business by becoming involved in Young Enterprise at Carmel Sixth Form. This is a unique opportunity to increase your understanding of business by "learning by doing" rather than studying. Young Enterprise gives you and your friends the opportunity to establish and run your own company, which means you will:

Work as part of a team
Elect a board of directors
Raise a share-capital
Open a bank account
Market and sell a product/service
Make a profit

Your Young Enterprise company will be supported by business advisers from local companies and TeesValley TEC, as well as your teachers within the college. There is also an optional YE examination offering a recognised qualification and an annual competition to identify the top companies in the UK and Europe.
