The Programme:

Whatever your interest, GCE Business awards incorporate an extremely wide range of units. They are flexibly structured to give you choice to form qualifications which can be highly individual to your personal aptitudes, interests and ambitions.
There are 2 levels:
AS GCE level, single (three units)
AS GCE level double (six units)
GCE level single (six units)
GCE level double (twelve units)
Assessment is 33% examination and 67% portfolio evidence.
Requirements:
GCSE Business is not a requirement to follow this course. A good standard of English and the ability to analyse, evaluate and interpret data is desirable.
Next Steps:
With further training or study, you may progress into Business related careers such as accounting, administration, customer service, finance, IT, personnel or sales. This course gives a good preparation both for employment and more advanced courses.

‘I didn’t follow Business Studies for GCSE. However, I am thinking of following a career in business. There is such a variety of different units to study; I think that these will give a good grounding in the subject area.’
