Expectations

Carmel Sixth Form is for students who want to achieve. It offers many opportunities, not only to pass exams and gain important qualifications, but also to develop as an individual in a Christian environment.

We want you to be sure about the expectations we have of you as well as the commitments you need to make to ensure personal success.

When Problems arise with attendance, behaviour or academic performance some of the following may happen:

Attendance and performance is monitored by each subject teacher and Curriculum Leader.

Your Tutor will meet with you to discuss your progress and any concerns that arise.

You may be requested to meet with Mr Madeley or Dr Frank.

Your parents / guardians may be contacted and invited into College for a formal meeting with either Mr Madeley or Dr Frank to address any concerns.

You may be placed on a support plan or formal contract which will set out what you need to do to address the concerns. Copies of this will be sent home to parents / guardians.

If you still fail to meet the expectations and commitments, then your place at the College will be at risk and you may be asked to leave.

Openness and honesty are key elements to you enjoying a successful career in the Sixth Form, so if you feel that you need any extra help or advice then please speak to your tutor, subject teachers, Mr Madeley or Dr Frank
