The Programme
The course gives you:

Work placement at local engineering company work based training at a local engineering training establishment

The opportunity to learn about engineering products and engineering practices with hands on experience

The chance to use the same equipment that is used in industry e.g. CAD/CAM machines, electronic testing and simulation equipment etc

A good opportunity to gain employment within engineering, as there are many training schemes available, which aim to equip students with the skills that engineering employers are seeking.

Requirements:
Students should have 4 GCSE passes, grades A-C in at least 4 subjects, two of which must be maths and technology.

Next Steps:
Technician or trainee at managerial level, electrical engineer, service engineer. Further study HND or Degree level.
