Computing

The Programme:
The computing course is aimed at those students who want to focus on computing as a career. This course covers the more technical aspects of computing such as Computer Architecture, Systems Analysis and different examples of high and low level programming languages like Visual Basic, C++, Pascal and Assembly Language.

Requirements:
There is a minimum requirement that students have achieved at least a Grade B in GCSE Mathematics as well as having demonstrated the ability to problem-solve independently.

Next Steps:
The A/S and A2 Computing Courses at Carmel RC College offer students an opportunity to gain an insight into the higher level skills in Computing. These skills can open the doors to major job opportunities in both business and industry. Furthermore, for students wanting to go onto HND/Degree courses, the A2 increases the chance of obtaining that all important University place.
