Business First Diploma
The Programme
A BTEC First Diploma is a practical, work-related course. Students learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. It introduces learners to particular areas of employment and provides a good basis to go on to a more advanced work-related qualification.
The course is made up of six units; three core units provide a general foundation and three specialist units introduce learners to particular topics in more depth.
The course is made up of six units - 3 core units and 3 specialist units.
A BTEC First Diploma is equivalent to four GCSEs grades A - C and is taken as a full-time course.
Requirements:
You will normally need to have at least 4 passes at GCSE.
Next Steps:
With further training or study, you may progress into Business related careers such as accounting, administration, customer service, finance, IT, personnel or sales. A BTEC First Diploma gives a good preparation both for employment and more advanced courses such as GCE Business and GCE Applied Business.
