Travel and Tourism National Award
BTEC

 

The Programme:

This is a practical work-related course. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities relating to the area of Travel and Tourism.

A BTEC National Award is equivalent to one A level.

The course is made up of six  units.

4 Compulsory Units

  1. Investigating Travel and Tourism
  2. The business of Travel and Tourism
  3. The U.K. as a Destination
  4. Customer Service in Travel and Tourism.

 

2 Optional Units which are decided upon each year

Requirements:

Students are expected to have obtained at least 5 GCSE passes at C Grade or above including English,  and to be independent in their approach to learning as 100% of the assessment is based on portfolio work.

This course prepares you for employment or further study for example:

The Travel and Tourism industry and Further Education.
