BTEC Nationals Level 3

These Level 3 courses offer a specialist qualification which will interest students who would like to focus on particular aspects of employment within a specific vocational sector. Assessment is based on the completion of projects and assignments and practical activities in the work place.

Three National qualifications are offered:

• The BTEC National Diploma has the equivalence of two GCE A levels
• The BTEC National Subsidiary Diploma has the equivalence of one GCE A level
• The BTEC Certificate has the equivalence of one GCSE AS level

OCR Nationals Level 3

These courses have been designed to take the latest ideas from industry and place them into a qualification suitable for today's learners.

Two National qualifications are offered:

• The OCR National Diploma has the equivalence of two GCE A levels
• The OCR National Award has the equivalence of one GCE A level

BTEC First Level 2
(GCSE Equivalent)

These are Level 2 qualifications which are practical, work related courses. Learning takes place by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.

The qualifications introduce students to particular areas of employment and provide a good basis to go on to a more advanced work-related qualification.
Two First qualifications are offered:

• The BTEC Diploma has the equivalence of 4 GCSEs
• The BTEC Extended Certificate has the equivalence of 2 GCSEs
