Role of the support team
To identify learning, behavioral, emotional or social needs of individual pupils.
To assist staff in the compilation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
To develop the self-confidence of individual pupils and make them aware of the positive aspects of their work.
To raise pupil expectations by creating opportunities for success and raising motivation.
To ensure that the needs of pupils with statements are being met.
To help pupils set themselves realistically achievable targets.
To monitor, record and evaluate pupil progress, noting any particularly successful strategies used.
