Carmel has been organising study visits to the Eichenkreuzheim in Rheurdt, North Rhine Westphalia, since 1986 and has had close links with the Gustav-Heinemann-Schule in Mülheim, Darlington's twin town, since 1996. Together we have been involved in organising exchanges and work experience, and in setting up Comenius projects and the Network of Europe Oriented Schools (NEOS).
