Applications and Further Information
Thinking about applying to become a teacher?
To apply for GTP 2012 the TDA have created an online national GTP application portal. Please use the link below and locate Carmel Teacher Training Partnership either through the location 'Darlington' or by searching by provider (mark the provider radio button) and use the name 'Carmel'.
How to apply?
Check to see if you have the right entry qualifications.
You must have gained the following qualification before you start training:
For secondary applicants the type and subject of the degree is very important. The subject content ought to be 50% of the subject in which you are to teach.
For primary applicants the subject content is less significant. A relevant degree would be preferential in that it would support the trainee and the school in providing a high quality curriculum.
Please note: You cannot have started any other QTS qualification before. Only in extreme circumstances can you start a second QTS course if you have started a QTS course and dropped out.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FIND A SCHOOL
Due to TDA regulations for ITT 2012 all GTP applications must be through the GTP national portal on www.TDA.gov.uk. Further information will be made available ASAP
All successful applicants will be allocated schools within the partnership
