We Are Collecting
Bag 2 School
Collection 5 November 11am. We are collecting old clothing/bedding/curtains/shoes bags etc. Years 7,8 and 9 have been given bags to fill, but we would be grateful for all donations. The money we raise is in relation to weight – so the heavier the better! If your child does not bring a bag home then please use a bin liner. Bags can be brought into school any time after the half term holidays.
There is a website https://www.nectar.com/join/activHome.snectar (Nectar Points), where points may be donated to a nominated school. This is popular with shoppers who have no use for their points but who wish to do something charitable with them.
Also, for the last 2 years, we have been instrumental, in conjunction
with Liz Maw's Optometrist's practice in Sedgefield and St. John Fisher
Church, in the collection of unwanted spectacles and lenses for Vision
Aid Overseas. We collected 1, 780 pairs the first year we did it and a
whopping 3,002 this time around. The collecting box is in Reception each
November, to coincide with the Quality Christmas Fayre but spectacles may
be given in all year round.
