Carmel College offers a site which is accessible by any computer regardless of age or installed software, and designed with visually impaired users in mind. It has passed the strict guidelines that have been set out by The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to ensure that this website is as accessible as it can be.
Visual Style
The site offers a customisable view where users can change the appearance of the site from a white background with blue and dark grey text to a dark blue background with yellow text. This offers a greater contrast between text and the background which some users will find makes the website more easy to read.
Users can also chose to increase the text size to a larger font and can also use the larger font in conjunction with the blue background and yellow text option. To change the visual style of this website please click here..

This website includes Flash media and certain areas use PopUp windows to display content. Please use the links on the left to find out more about Flash and PopUps.
Downloads
This site has many resources and information that can be downloaded. The information is available in as many different formats as possible. Most text based documents will have been created using Microsoft Office, on programs such as Word and Excel. Most documents are also available in .pdf and .swf formats. Pdf documents open using Adobe Reader which can be downloaded free of charge by clicking here. We also offer FlashPaper (.swf) documents which will open using the Flash player which is also available free of charge and can be downloaded by clicking here.
