Message From Maura Regan, Principal, Carmel College:

Carmel College is one of the top performing schools in the country at both GCSE and ‘A’ level. It has a proud record of excellence in areas of sport, music and the Arts.

The College values the excellent support it receives from parents and carers. We have a team of outstanding staff who consistently encourage their students to be the best they can be and ensure that “children leave with more than just outstanding examination results”.

Another record breaking year of GCSE results for Carmel College.

 • 100% 5 A*-G
 • 87.4% of all pupils achieved a grade C or above in GCSEs (or equivalent) in 5 or more subjects, including English and maths. This has been calculated according to the new government methodology for 2014.
 • 40.4% of all pupils achieved the English Baccalaureate.
 • 99.5% and 81.2% of all pupils achieved at least the minimum expected level of progress in English and maths respectively between KS2 and KS4

Carmel College would like to join with its VI Form students in celebrating their outstanding successes in this year’s A level examinations and wish them every success with their future plans.

 • 99.7% of all equivalent A Level qualifications achieved A* to E grades in the summer examinations, 2014.
 • 56.1% of these reached A* , A or B grades.
 • On average, 940 points were achieved per student.
